Do you view writing as a kind of spiritual practice?

Everyone believes in something even if they say they don't. I can tell you I believe in leprechauns and fairies. When I sit down to write and the words are flowing to the page, each line comes down to the paper as a new start. This is spiritual to me because not many people can put pen to paper coming up with a magical place that anyone can go to. When I read about fairies and leprechauns I think about happy creatures enjoying themselves in the sunlight playing pranks. Some people out there can read about leprechauns and fairies think about crazy little creatures might even be mean to each other, they can picture pots of gold and cursing anyone that captures them.

We each see different things after reading these books, that is spiritual to me, faith in what you imagine, faith in what you feel. I can sit in front of a computer writing my story, not realizing that hours have pasted with many chapters that are coming alive right before my eyes.
